Three courses culminate at SKPA Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, July 31: Three courses i.e 6-day long IED Course, 5-day long Cyber Forensics Course and 2-day long seminar on Social Media in Indian Police culminated today at SK Police Academy (SKPA) Udhampur.
67 Police officers/ officials from all over the state attended the training programmes. Dr SD Singh, ADGP, Director SK Police Academy Udhampur was the chief guest on the occasion of valediction. During his valedictory address Dr SD Singh invariably expressed importance of knowing the characteristics and types of various explosives and constituents of IEDs which are the principle source of terror all over the world. Therefore, the law enforcing agencies have to be capable of investigating IED blast related cases. Speaking on the importance of Cyber Crime, he expressed that it is crime of today and tomorrow prevalent in the virtual space. The increased frequency of Crimes in virtual space requires that we have to equip over selves to tackle this ever increasing menace. Whereas Social media is another challenge while accessing to general public, use of social media is an important tool. However, its miss usage, by vested interests poses serious problems for the state. The certificates of participation were also given away by the Director SKPA, Udhampur and his team. The valedictory address was also attended by Mohan Lal, SSP Dy. Director (Indoor), Vinay Kumar, SSP, Dy. Director (Admn), KK Sharma, Asstt Director (Q), Zahid Saif Wani, Asstt. Director (I) Sunmati Gupta, Asstt. Director (Outdoor), Tahir Hussain, Asstt. Director (Admn), and Ramesh Chander Kataria, DySP, Pvt Secy to Director SKPA, Udhampur and other faculty members of the Academy.
