| Reasi Police produces chargesheet agasint drug peddler | | | Early Times Report
REASI, Aug 5: Reasi Police has produced chargsheet against a drug peddler before Court of Session Judge Reasi for judicial determination. The accused Imran Ahmed, son of Barakat Ullah of Acherlla Mahore was arrested near petrol pump Mahore when checking of vehicles was going on. Police recovered 350 gms of charas like substance from his possession and lodged FIR No 07/2021 US 8, 20 NDPS Act in Police Station Mahore. During the course of investigations, Investigating Officer seized the Narcotics and collected all other evidences including statements of witnesses as well as expert opinion of Forensic Science Laboratory Jammu . The allegations in the case are proved beyond doubt against the accused. Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi conveyed that free and fair investigations in NDPS cases will help to curb the menace of drug abuse in the area and is important for improving the conviction rate of cases under NDPS Act. |
