| Arrangements for Muharram discussed in Poonch | | |

POONCH, Aug 5: Deputy Commissioner, Poonch Inder Jeet today chaired a meeting to discuss the arrangement for Muharram.
During the meeting, the representatives of the religious organisations called for un-interrupted supply of water and electricity, cleanliness in around the Imam Baras, Security arrangement, besides other facilities.
After threadbare discussion, the DC directed PHE and PDD to take advance measures for providing un-interrupted water and power supply to all religious places, while the Municipality authorities were asked to ensure cleanliness so that devotees do not face any inconvenience. The CMO was directed for making the arrangement for medical facilities.
The DC asked the religious representatives to ensure smooth conduct of the religious activities amid coronavirus pandemic and also appealed them to inform people about the precautions to be taken for preventing spread of Covid-19 including limited gathering and observing Covid Appropriate Behaviour.
The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police, Dr. Vinod Kumar; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Basharat Hussain; Headquarter Assistant, Jahangir Khan; Executive Engineers besides all concerned officers, religious representatives and prominent citizens. |
