Various organizations held protest against abrogation of Article 370

Kathua, Aug 5: Under the banner of ‘Jammu Kashmir People’s Alliance for Statehood’ Kathua the different socio-political organisations including JK Panthers Party, Internationalists Democratic Platform (IDP), Lok Manch, Mahila Adhikaar Sangthan, Jan Jagriti Manch, Sarv Dharm Sewa Samiti today held a protest demonstration here at Shaheedi Chowk, on Thursday. The speakers including Robin Sharma, I D Khajuria, Balkar Singh, Adv. Dheeraj, Rajni Kumari, Santosh Khajuria, Ch. Swarn Singh, Panch Suresh Sharma, Panch Kali Dass Ram Bhushan, Ram Murti, Harbans Lal, and Adv Susheel Kumar while addressing said that on August 5, 2019, the BJP government abrogated the constitution of the full-fledged J&K state, which was pluralistic in nature since 1846 and divided the state into two union territories named Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Firstly people faced a lock-down on the entire state by closing down all means of communications, restricting the movement of people and goods, arresting thousands of people including politicians, journalists, lawyers, teachers, social activists, youth and even minor children and thousands or in jails out of the state in different parts of India. The speakers reiterating the curses of abrogation of 370 said that employees were dismissed from services and administrative secretaries were armed with powers to declare dead-wood to any employee to send him home on the term of 22 years service or 48 years age. No policy to regularise the daily wagers who are thousands in number serving for last 20 to 30 years.
“Not only this, unemployment crossed 25 Lakh in numbers till today no any policy to absorb them,” the speakers added. Recalling abrogation of statehood unfortunate demanded restoration of Statehood with dignity and status, employment only to the permanent residents of Jammu Kashmir, Civil secretariat move should continue in interests of Unity and integration of Jammu Kashmir and land ownership rights be given only to residents of Jammu Kashmir.
