| Duggar Manch condoles demise of Padma Sachdev | | |

Jammu, Aug 5: Duggar Manch has condoled the demise of eminent poetess and literary stalwart of Dogri and Hindi literature Padsmshree Padma Sachdeva.
The President of Duggar Manch Mohan Singh recalled her role through six decades journey of this great literary figure of India. He said that she was the pioneer first female Dogri poetess who was called ambassador of Dogri language outside the state and country. Padsmshree Padma Sachdeva in addition to several books in her credit, and several awards has championed the cause of Dogri at national and international level. She was one who greatly helped getting recognition of Dogri in 8th schedule of constitution of India. Her great contribution is also unparalleled in many ways because she was one who got Dogri songs sung by eminent singers of India like Lata Mangeshkar, Mahendra Kapoor,Bhupinder Singh and others.
The condolence meeting was attended by many writers including Padsmshree Narsingh Dev Jawal, Sahitya Academy Awardee Dhyan Singh Shivdev Singh Susheel, Dr Gyan Singh, Dr Sushma Rani, Dr Suneeta Pudwal, Vijay Verma, Dr. Shalini Rana, Neelam, Natyapal Singh. |
