BMS celebrates integration day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 5: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh celebrated today integration Day with zeal and enthusiasm and thanked the central Govt for merging the JK Provident Fund Organisation with central Govt EPFO. The BMS has submitted a memorandum and has appealed to L.G Manoj Sinha that since central Provident Fund Organisation has taken over the entire assets and liabilities of JKEPFO and has merged J&K EPFO in its fold which is a welcome step on the part of govt and BMS was struggling for merger of J&K EPFO since long and from 1.11.2019 pension benefit are also extended from 1.11.2019 onwards but in the present set up all the benefits under central EPFO will be implemented from 1.11.2019. The subscribers those who are contributing from the last more than 10 years and have remaining service of less than 10 years they will be not entitled for pension benefits as the reckoning date is 1.11.2019 and due to this more than three lakhs subscribers will be deprived from pension benefits. They appealed that in the interest of workers/ subscribers the Govt should have to give option for pension to the subscribers those who are subscribers of J&K EPFO since long and voluntarily want to surrender one part of contributions as required under Employees pension scheme 1995 for availing pension benefit and it will be great service for the poor workers of private sector from central govt. Asfaq Ahmed Chohan President BMS Harbans Choudhary senior leader of BMS Chanan Singh Toor, Ashok Choudhary, Sachin Bali and Subash Chander were present on the occasion. |
