Ex MLA kick starts construction work

JAMMU, Aug 12: Former Minister and Ex MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) kick started the works for construction of a park at Janipur Colony near Swastik Nursing home along with Corporator Sunita Gupta in Ward Number 37 of the constituency. Sharma was also accompanied by many local residents and political activists. Locals gathered on the spot and hailed the developmental measures taken by the Ex MLA to redress public grievances.
The works will be done at an estimated cost of around Rs 6.87 lakhs and the funds were allotted to the local Corporator.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it was a pending demand of the residents of the area from a long time as it is the only park which caters to the needs of thousands of local residents and adjoining areas so it was necessary to take up the developmental works in order to provide the public with basic amenities. He also asked the department to work on the boundaries of the park and establish a fencing system so that beautification of the park should be maintained and he also asked the public to frame a committee for the development and maintenance of the park. Sunita Gupta, Sahil Gupta, Rakesh Gupta, Vicky Sharma, Kulbir Singh, Sahil Anand, Gourav Sharma, Avinash Anand, Ramesh Sharma, Swarn Singh, Parvesh Sharma and several others were also present.
