Early Times Report KOTRANKA, Aug 12: To celebrate the India's Independence Day as 'Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav', Government Degree College Kotranka organized an online lecture on 'Fundamental Duties of Citizens Towards Nation" The lecture was delivered by Ather Mehmood, ex lecturer in the department of Political Science, GDC Kotranka. Delivering his lecture, Mehmood said that, we always expect a lot from the country like hospitals, roads, colleges, schools other basic needs which falls under the fundamental rights of the citizens. But there are some duties of the citizens also towards the nation which we must perform to make our society better. Giving his remarks, Principal of the college Dr Rajinder Singh said that fundamental duties are for our common benefit and we must abide by them. He added that it is responsibility of the citizens to preserve our natural resources and save it for the common good of the people. At the end of lecture, vote of thanks was presented by Dr Mohd Mushtaq, coordinator of the programme and Nodal Officer 'Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav'. |
