PG College for Women Gandhinagar organises postcard making competition

JAMMU, Aug 12: To celebrate the 75th Independence Day, the creative talent of students of Govt. P.G. College for Women exhibited through Digital Postcard Making Competition on the theme 'National Integration' and Greeting Card Making Competition to commemorate 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'.
About 60 students participated in Digital Postcard Making Competition wherein they paid creative and colourful reverence to the nation. Reetika Choudhary, Mahak Gupta, Neetika Sharma bagged the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively. Two consolation prizes were also given to Shavani Choudhary and Ruchika Bharti. Another event which marked the Jashne- Azadi was Greeting Card Making Competition. About 30 students made attractive greeting cards on the theme ' 75th Independence Day - I love my India' and showcased their creative skills and greeted the nation for this revered day.First, Second and Third positions were bagged by Ruchika, Vanshika and Manisha Raina.Two consolation prizes were given to Reetika Kumari and Tanu Sharma. Dr.Sangita Nagari, Principal of the College appreciated the creativity of students and the way they paid tribute to nation. She also encouraged them to be part of such activities in future as well.
Both the events were jointly executed by Prof. Mala Bhasin NSS PO and Lt. Suman Bala, ANO of 2 J&k Girls Bn. of the College.
