Jammu, Aug 12: Duggar Manch has appealed to Lieutenant Governor of J&K to name one of the Roads/Chowks of Jammu City in the name of Padamshree Padma Sachdev. A meeting of Manch was held at Jammu which was presided over by its President Mohan Singh. It was discussed that Padma Sachdev deserves utmost respect from the region & City which was always promoted to be the City of temples & land of peace, art, culture and values of co- existence. Padamshree Padma Sachdev remains great inspiration & motivation for generation to come. In this way it will be a befitting tribute to this great Literary stalwart from Jammu and recognition to her great service to our region, if some monumental gesture is displayed in form naming one of Roads/Chowks of Jammu City in her name. The meeting was attended by Padamshree N D Jamwal, Shivdev Singh Susheel, Dr. Gian Singh, Vijay Verma, Sunita Bhadwal, Dr. Sushma Rani, Prof. Shalini Rana, Daya Ram Daya and others. |
