JKCA, CA organize cycling competition

Jammu, Aug 12: Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council in collaboration with Cycling Association of J&K organised sports cycling competition in both the genders with different age categories.
On the occasion Dr. Koushal Kumar Sharma SSP Traffic, JKP Jammu was the chief guest who kick started the competitions from K.K Hakku Stadium Jammu wherein more than 80 cyclists took part in competitions.
The chief guest also highlighted the need to extend the root of the competitors upto rural areas so that the ignorant youngsters can awake from the deep sleep and join the sports field in large to give their best. He also appreciated the role of Sports Council and his associates for promotion of sports in the U.T J&K.
Competitions were the ongoing part of Independence Day Celebration Sports Week organised under the care of Dr. Zafar Iqbal, KAS, Chief Accounts Officer J&K Sports Council in the presence of Ashok Singh Divisional Sports Officer Jammu.
Other’s present on the occasion were Ravinder Singh President Cycling Association of J&K, Sr. Sarwant Singh- General Secretary cycling association of J&K, Ravi Salgotra, Ajay sharma, Tajinder Singh, Om Parkash, Dr. Vikesh Sharma besides public and ex. Players.
