| GDC Kathua celebrates international youth day | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Aug 12: NSS Units GDC Kathua in collaboration with Electoral Literacy Club of the College celebrated International Youth Day under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav Celebration.
A symposium was organised under the patronage of Principal Prof Assa Ram Sharma. The theme of the symposium was "Role of Youth in Strengthening the Democracy". Principal Prof Assa Ram Sharma also addressed the volunteers and throw light on the role and importance of youth in strengthening the democracy.
More than fifteen volunteers took part in the symposium. Naman Dogra, Miss Manvi Chaudhary and Abhishek Singh were adjudged as first, second and third. The other participants were acknowledged with consolation prizes.
The event was judged by Prof Rajneesh Sharma, Head Political Science Department, Dr. Kamaldeep Singh, Head Punjabi Department and Dr. Shamsher Singh, Head Urdu Department. The event was organised under the supervision of NSS Prog officers Prof Manmohan Singh, Prof Ritu kumar Sharma and Prof Neha Bandral. |
