Two day workshop on "Say No To Drugs" concludes at GDC Vijaypur

VIJAYPUR, Aug 12: Government Degree College (GDC) Vijaypur celebrated International Youth Day to commemorate "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav".
NSS Unit (Khidmat) of GDC Vijaypur organized Two Days Workshop (11th & 12th of August )on the topic "say no to drugs" . On the first day, students from various institutions across the nation shared their views in the form of posters, write-ups and slogans. A documentary was also shown to the students so that they can protect themselves and others from drug addiction and spread awareness among the younger generations thereby preventing drug abuse that can negatively affect their physical and mental health.
On the second day, students shared their posts, comments and messages reflecting their views related to the topic on social media accounts i.e Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram, Twitter , Telegram etc. and a awareness drive was also launched by the students in their locality and neighbourhood to make people aware about hazards of drug abuse and drug addiction, a problem which is a major deterrent to humanity and a poison to the well-being of youth.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College. The event was co-ordinated by Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch (NSS PO).
