| Jammu Runners Group shines in cycling championship | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 12: Jammu Runners Group brought laurels for Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory by securing first position in Road Race Cycle Championship.
Under the initiative of JK UT government, Jammu and Kashmir Cycling Association (Affiliated to cycling Federation of India and Recognized by J&K Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association) a road race cycling championship was organized today to celebrate 75th year of Independence.
Jammu Runners Group secured first position in the championship. In the open category, Manav, a state level cyclist covered the distance of 18 kms in 29 minutes with an average speed of 36kmph and secured first position.
The event was flagged off from Hakku Hockey stadium and passed through Narwal, Kunjwani, Satwari, Bikram Chowk and finally culminated at Hockey stadium. More than 20 cyclists representing Jammu |
