| NYK, DIC Rajouri hold Swachhta drive at Block GDC Budhal | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Aug 13: Nehru Yuva Kendra Rajouri, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India organised Swachhata Pakhwada activity (Fortnight) on Friday in which National Youth Volunteers from Block Budhal and Rajnagar carried out Cleanliness Drives at Government Degree College, Budhal.
The program started with singing of the National Anthem by all the participants. Thereafter, a cleanliness drive was held in which the youth club members associated with NYK Rajouri participated.
Mohammad Mazammal Hussain, Principal, Govt Degree College, Budhal delivered lecture on Swachhata Pakhwada and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. He appreciated the efforts of Nehru Yuva Kendra Rajouri in spreading awareness regarding Swachhta Abhiyaan and expressed the hope that programs like these will be organised in future also.
Dr Latief Dar delivered a lecture on Covid Appropriate Behavior and urged the gathering to follow the safety protocols and inform the general people about it. Wajaid Hussain, President Panjnara Youth Club and Youth Leader enlightened the youth about the role of youth in Freedom Struggle and how they can bring about a positive transformation in the present day society. He further told the audience to follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) to stop the spread of Covid-19.
National Youth Volunteers Ravinder Singh, Ummar Sajjad, Deepak Sharma and Wakarat Ali managed the proceedings of the program. They distributed pamphlets and other IEC material regarding Jal Shakti Abhiyaan among the participants.
Later, a Fit India Freedom Run Rally was also taken out to commemorate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, which is being celebrated throughout the country in connection with the 75th Independence Day.
