Ramban gets four new bank branches
Two start functioning at Halla, Rajgarh

RAMBAN, Aug 13: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam, in presence of local Sarpanch Mehraj Ahmed Khan and senior officers of Jammu and Kashmir Bank inaugurated a new Bank Branch here at Halla area. Zonal Head JK Bank, Rajesh Gupta, Cluster Head JK Bank, Subash Chander and various officials of JK Bank present on the occasion. After inauguration, the DC said that opening of four new bank branches in two days in the district will prove a major relief to the customers in banking transactions. The DC congratulated the people of Kanthi, Gandhri, Rajgarh and Halla and urged them to open their bank account in their local Bank branches for availing benefits from various beneficiary oriented schemes of the government. He highlighted the importance of banking facilities for hassle free transactions and availing benefits of social security and self employment schemes like Jan Dan Yogna, Mumkin and Tejaswini. The DC also urged the banking officials to expedite early porting of the account numbers of the local inhabitants from other banks to the newly opened Halla and Rajgarh. He also sought the support from PRIs in motivating youth, both boys and girls to avail the benefits of self-employment schemes. The DC also interacted with the villagers and impressed upon them to strictly follow Covid appropriate behavior. He also asked them to take vaccines and registered under the PMJAY SEHAT scheme. Later, the DC also listened to issues and demands of locals and assured early redressal of the same.
