| GDC RS Pura organizes plantation drive | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 13: As a part of ongoing week long online activities to commemorate the 75th Independence Day (jashn-e-Azaadi) an online plantation drive was organised by the NSS unit of the college in collabortion with Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat club (EBSB) under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with the guidance of the worthy Principal, Dr. G. S. Rakwal and supervision of Prof. Bindu Kumari, NSS Programme Officer and Nodal Officer, EBSB. More than 30 students actively participated in the event and planted saplings of various fruits and shade trees like Apricot, Mango, Lictchi, Gauva, Neem etc. in their vicinity. The NSS Programme officer, Prof. Bindu Kumari motivated the students to plant more trees in the future and highlighted the importance of trees in maintaining our ecosystem. The principal of the college appreciated the efforts of the students. |
