Symposium on "Quit India Movement", organized | | | Early Times Report UKHRA, Aug 13: GDC UKHRAL organized a symposium titled "Quit India Movement" which was an important milestone in the Indian freedom struggle under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. The event was joined by more than hundred students. The students shared their thoughts and lauded the movement that showed the depth of the national will and called for withdrawal of British power in India. The programme highlighted the significance of the movement that led the declaration of the commitment of free India . The principal of the college, Dr Ranvijay Singh in his speech draw the pivotal role of the movement that led the people to continue their unfazed struggle despite the heavy-handed suppression of government. The second session of the event was followed by distribution of prizes among the best speakers judged by Professor Iftikhar Hussain. The first prize winner was Manju Devi. The second prize winners were Nirjala Devi and Abdul Qadeer Bali and the third prize winners were Asiya Aejaz and Nelofar Akhter. The whole programme was conducted and ensured by Professor Iftikhar Hussain. |
