GDC Basohli organised an online competition

BASOHLI, Aug 13: Government Degree College, Basohli under the aegis of "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav", organised an online competition on Patriotic Song Singing/Recitation under the patronage of the worthy Principal Dr. Nidhi Kotwal.
A total of 13 students participated in the event. The event was judged by Dr. Gotam Singh Lalotra, Prof. Brham Dutt and Dr. Jeevan Kumar. Anil Kumar of B.Sc. Sem VI was adjudged First, Ms. Arti. Devi of Sem VI second, and Kanika of Sem IV secured third position. Dr. R.K. Manhas was the organising Secretary of the program and comparing was done by Dr. Gotam Singh Lalotra. The program ended with some words of advice from Dr. Nidhi Kotwal. She appreciated the zeal and passion of the students and emphasised on the importance and value of independence. She also asked the participants to work for the betterment of the college, society and nation.
The faculty members Prof. Sanjeev Gupta, Prof. Pawan Kumar, Dr. Papinder Kumar, Dr. Kehar Singh, Prof. Suresh Barwal, Dr. Shiv Kumar, Sandeep Kumar, and Sandeep Sharma also participated in the event. The prize distribution ceremony of all the winners will be held on 15th of August, 2021 at 9.15 am.
