REASI, Aug 13: A plantation drive was conducted at Government Polytechnic College Reasi, in association with Social Forestry Department Reasi as a part of weeklong celebrations.
Er. Vivek Mahajan, Principal of the College welcomed Abdul Rashied, Range Officer, Social Forestry, Range Reasi, Chhinju Ram, Block Forester, and other staff members of Social Forestry Department. All staff members and about 20 students of the institution actively participated in the Plantation Drive in which 50 different varieties of plants, which includes Fruit-bearing and other plant species like Silver Oak, Bottle Bush, Guava, Bogun Villa, Arjuna were planted in the college campus.
At the end of the drive, Er. Moninder Singh Parmar, I/C Nodal Officer for the activity thanked all the guests and Social Forestry Department officials for providing free saplings and all-out support in conducting the Plantation Drive successfully. |
