| GDC Khour organizes Kabaddi match | | |

Akhnoor, Aug 13: GDC Khour organized a Kabaddi match between College team and Pallanwala Sports Club in collaboration with Department of Youth Services and Sports (Zone Khour). The event was the part of weeklong activities under the auspices of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav to celebrate 75 Years of Independence.
The match was inaugurated by Prof. Hans Raj Principal of the College. Anil Kumar Thakur, SDM Khour was the guest of honour on the ocassion. The toss was won by the GDC Khour. Both the teams played very well and finally the GDC Khour won the match with the final score of 43:30. Rajan Singh Manhas, Captain of J&K UT Kabaddi team was also present on the occasion and felicitated by Principal of the college for his achievements. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest congratulated both the teams for participation and advised the players of both the teams to keep themselves away from the use of drugs and take regular part in the sport activities. The winning team was awarded with trophy.
The whole event was organized by Goutam Sharma Physical Director GDC Khour under the guidance of Principal of the College. |
