Jammu, Aug 13: NSS GGM Science College under the patronage of Principal Dr. Ravender Tickoo and guidance of NSS PO Dr. Deepali Mahajan organized a cleanliness drive with in and around the campus of the college under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan: a country wide campaign initiated by the government of India. This drive was inaugurated by college Principal Dr.Ravender Tickoo. He said that Swachh Bharat Ahhiyan is India’s largest cleaniliness drive which aims to make India more sustainable and eco-friendly for living. Students are the real ambassadors of cleanliness and motivate others to keep their homes, schools, colleges and surroundings clean. NSS PO Dr. Deepali Mahajan with the volunteers took swachta pledge. The main motto being “One step towards cleanliness.” Cleanliness starts from home. Using dustbins segregation of wastes biodegradable from non degradable wastes. Banning plastic in colleges was the part of awareness drive. NSS volunteers Tanisha, Anchal, Sajal, Sartik, Shubam, Arpna, Shaku, Bhavnish, Parul, Neeru, Pranav, Aaghav, Sunandini, Tushar, Mahir, Ajinka, Vishali participated in the cleanliness drive. |
