GDC Kalakote organizes intra-college quiz competition

Kalakote, Aug 13: NSS unit in collaboration with EBSB Club of GDC Kalakote under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal, GDC Kalakote, organized online intra college quiz competition on the theme, “Role of Freedom fighters in India’s Independence”, dedicated to , “Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav”.
The event was one among the series of programmes scheduled for a week-long celebration of 75th Independence Day by GDC Kalakote.
India’s freedom movement against the British witnessed an overwhelming participation of people throughout the country. People across the country fought together against atrocities of the Britishers.
The top three winners of the competition remained Asif Karim (B.A Sem. 6th), Pratibha Gupta (B.A Sem. 2nd) and Pankaj Singh (B.A Sem 4th) bagged the 1st,2nd and 3rd position respectively.
The top three winners and all the other participants will be awarded with e- certificates. After the declaration of the result, Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal GDC Kalakote had an interactive session with the students through an online platform. Taking this opportunity, he talked at length about the contribution of our freedom fighters in India’s freedom struggle.
Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta further added that the path to India’s independence was not an easy task. Several people sacrificed their lives for the country. Freedom fighters including Bhagat Singh, Mangal Pandey, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Rajguru and Sukhdev played a crucial role in the country’s independence.
The event was concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Prof. Priyanka Kumari through an online platform.
