Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 14: In a meeting of Minority Cell of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress held here today at PCC HQ Shahidi Chowk Jammu demanded protection of Indians, especially people of minority communities residing in Afghanistan. Sdr. Gurdarshan Singh, Vice Chairman Minority Dept. JKPCC presided over the meeting. Speaking on the occasion S. Gurdarshan Singh said that in view of current developments in Afghanistan where battle is going on between Afghan forces and Talban and there are news that Talban can overturn the present Afghan Govt. and capture power in the country. In view of these development the protection of Indians, especially the Sikhs and Christians who were targeted many times in the past and there are apprehensions that they may be harmed in these new developments in Afghanistan. The meeting urged the Govt. of India to take appropriate measures and build pressure on the international level that the Indians including Sikhs, Christians and other people residing in Afghanistan should be protected at any cost.
