DDC Chairman Rajouri urges public not to lower guard against Covid to avert fresh wave

RAJOURI, Aug 14: District Development Council Chairman Rajouri, Naseem Liyaqat today urged the public not to lower guard against Covid to avert the fresh wave.
He cautioned the people against any leniency and said the top researchers, epidemiologists and virologists are consistently warning of another wave adding that vaccine and Covid Appropriate Behaviour are vital to avert the fresh wave.
The DDC Chairman said that although the Government is making persistent efforts to mitigate the pandemic, yet the active cooperation of the general public is a must.
He urged the public to keep helping the Administration in this global fight against the pandemic.
“Do not to wait for the third wave but try to avert it by ensuring strict adherence to all the COVID safety measures like washing hands frequently, wearing masks, maintaining social distance, staying extra cautious at public places, getting timely tested for COVID if feeling symptoms etc which can be adopted to guard against the Coronavirus infection” he added.
The DDC Chairman also greeted the public of Rajouri on the 75th Independence Day.
The DDC Chairman highlighted the significance of the day saying that it stands as a reminder of the sacrifices that many freedom fighters made to get independence from British rule. He urged upon the public to celebrate the day with added zeal and patriotic spirit.
The DDC Chairman also appealed to the public to ensure strict adherence to COVID related SOPs while celebrating the National festival to avoid the risk of infection.
