JTC continues protest at Jagti | | | eaRLY tIMES rEPORT
Jammu, Aug 18: The protest sit-in organized by Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) at Jagti township Nagrota continued for 320th day. Addressing the protesters, Shadi Lal Pandita president, JTC and SKF said that his organisation is protesting for 320 days but the Government continues to maintain silence over the demands. He said the relief holders are on streets demanding enhancement of relief to Rs 25,000 as the poor people are unable to make their both ends meet on meagre cash relief. He also demanded Government jobs for unemployed youth and interest -free loans be given to over-aged youth. Pandita said that Kashmiri Pandits have suffered a lot of loss in shape of property and crops for the last 32 years of turmoil and the same be compensated.
