FOIJ submits memorandum to Parliamentary Standing Committee | | | EARly Times Report
Jammu, Aug 18: Lalit Mahajan, Co-Chairman, Federation of Industries, Jammu and President, Bari Brahmana Industries Association presented a memorandum to the Anand Sharma, Chairman, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs in the presence of other Members of Parliament of both the Houses, Ranjan Prakash Thakur, Principal Secretary Industry & Commerce and Ajit Bawa (Co-Chairman FOIJ) on behalf of Industries’ fraternity at Srinagar. On behalf of Industrial fraternity Lalit Mahajan thanked Union govt for grant of Fiscal Incentives for the Industrial Sector of J & K as per the Notification issued by Ministry of Commerce and Industry Govt. of India as per the Industrial package 2021 and Industrial Fraternity of Jammu & Kashmir termed it as a beginning of new Era of Development & Industrialization and we hope that the Industrialization will achieve a new height in the coming days in our State to provide Employment Opportunities to the local youths as well as overall growth in the State Economy as we are expecting the huge Investment in Industrial Sector of J&K on the basis of Rs.28,400 Crores Central Industrial package announced by Govt. of India under your able Leadership. Mahajan also conveyed thanks to Manoj Sinha, Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary and Sh. Ranjan Prakash Thakur, Principal Secretary Industry & Commerce, Union Territory of J&K for the issuance of Industrial friendly Jammu & Kashmir Industrial Policy 2021-30 with the grant of Fiscal Incentives to Existing Industrial Units which will provide a great relief to the existing Industrial Sector working in Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. During the course of discussions, Mr. Mahajan highlighted the various issues related to the Industrial sector such as establishment of Mother Industry in Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, compulsory Purchase by Central Govt. Organization, reimbursement of Road Freight Incentives for the dispatch of Industrial Goods for Domestic as well as Export to other Countries from Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, establishment of Export Promotion Industrial Parks/ SEZ,s in Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. Anand Shrama, Chairman, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs assured the delegation that the committee will take up the matter with the Govt. of India to resolve the issues related to the Industrial Sector as early as possible for speedy Industrial Growth in our State which will provide employment to local unemployed youths of the State.
