Minorities moving helter-skelter in Pakistan to save life, dignity: Kavinder | Condemns vandalisation of Maharaja Ranjit Singh statue in Pak | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 18: Pakistan has been proved to be a failed state for being incapable of ensuring security and safety to minorities which are running helter-skelter in that country to lead the life with dignity and without fear. This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta in a statement issued here on Wednesday. Referring to latest incident of vandalisation of statue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh in the Islamic country, the former Deputy Chief Minister said that the situation out there speaks louder than words that the country is a failed state with no control of government on radical entities which do not respect the land of law and are brutally after minorities whether Hindus, Sikhs, Christians or Parsis. "The vandalisation of the Statue of great Maharaja of yesteryears is not the single case as earlier also many temples, Gurdwaras and other places of worship of minorities have been desecrated and demolished making it difficult for minorities to live a dignified life", he said and urged the central dispensation to hold talks with its counterpart in Islamabad to put a check on such gruesome acts which are condemnable by all means as in no civilized country this kind of brutality against the minorities can be allowed to happen. Kavinder said that frequent attacks on minorities' temples and other places having great sanctity is a proof that the Hindus, Sikhs and other non-majority communities are not safe in Pakistan and therefore the governments of the powerful countries including India should exert pressure on the government of Pakistan to act appropriately in the matter and give the stringent punishment to the culprits acting against the minorities.
