| JU VC paid floral tributes to Padma Sachdev | | |

JAMMU, Aug 18: The Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof. M.K. Dhar today visited the P.G. Department of Dogri, University of Jammu and interacted with the faculty members in connection with the establishment of 'Centre of Excellence in Dogri'.
At the outset, the Vice-Chancellor paid floral tribute to the noted author and the Padamshree Awardee, Padma Sachdev, the first modern woman poet of Dogri language, who breathed her last on 04.08.2021. Apart from the detailed discussions for the establishment of the said Centre in the Department, the Vice-Chancellor also inspected the whole building of the Department and gave on spot instructions to the XEN to get it renovated and also to prepare an action plan for housing the said Centre of Excellence in the Department.
Prof. Shiv Dev Singh Manhas, HOD Dogri thanked the Vice-Chancellor for his visit to the Department to boost the morale of the faculty members and expressed satisfaction over the visit of the Vice-Chancellor which remained very fruitful. |
