GDC Basohli organizes awareness programme

BASOHLI, Aug 18: Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of GDC Basohli in collaboration with J&K Aids Control Society organised a Blood Donation Awareness Contest under the aegis of New India Campaign @75 through virtual mode.
The online contest was conducted under the patronage of Dr. Nidhi Kotwal, Principal GDC, Basohli and supervised by Dr. Shiv Kumar, Nodal Officer, RRC, GDC Basohli. The programme outline was briefed by the nodal officer along with the instructions and guidelines for slogan writing. More than 20 students participated in the contest and the slogans were adjudged by Prof. Brham Dutt, Mr. Sandeep Sharma and Dr. Shiv Mangal Singh. Results revealed that Ms. Tannu Rani of Sem-IV secured the first position, whereas Mr. Nirmal Singh of Sem-VI and Kanika of Sem IV stood at 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively. The Principal applauded the winners and broadly conveyed the message to donate blood and save the mankind. She also impressed upon to follow healthy life style and dietary regimens that aids in combating against diseases and strengthening the immune system. The contest ended with the formal vote of thanks to the chair and participants by Dr. Shiv Kumar.
