GDC Sidhra organizes blood donation awareness campaign

JAMMU, Aug 18: Red Ribbon Club of GDC, Sidhra organized an online Intra-college activity on blood donation awareness campaign to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.
A number of RRC volunteers participated in the activity with full enthusiasm. The participants were judged by Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, Head Department of Urdu and Prof. Shonima Malhotra Head Department of sociology of the college.
The campaign theme for this year Blood Donor Day is 'Safe Blood Saves Lives' with the slogan 'Give blood and make the world healthier place' .The idea is to focus on the contribution on individual giver can make to improve health for other in the community.
The result of the activity was declared on 18th of August, 2021 in which Tania Wani of B.A 4th Sem, was adjudged at first position and Deepak Nischal of B.com 4th Sem, secured second position and third position was secured by Karsoom Akther student of B.A Sem-II, of the college. Principal, Dr. Monika Sharma congratulated the winners and participants. The event was organized by Dr. Satbir Kour, Nodal Officer of RRC and Dr. Punam Rani, Head, Department of History of the college.
