JAMMU, Aug 18: Dr. Ravi Parihar, Faculty, School of Languages and Literature, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, completed an Online MOOC Course of six week duration, titled "Miracles of Human Language: An Introduction to Linguistics" offered by the Centre for Linguistics, Leiden University, Netherlands.
Dr. Parihar learnt about the foreign languages such as Mandarin Chinese, Tarifit Berber, Gungbe (a Nigerian language), Basque, Abruzzese (spoken in Southern Italy), and Turkish.The course on the aforesaid languages was a great opportunity for updating the linguistic knowledge, said Dr. Parihar. |
