| District level Committee on local Pahari dialects holds maiden meeting | | Made several recommendations | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA, Aug 18: A meeting on the indigenous dialects of erstwhile Doda was convened here under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner, R K Bharti.
The Committee which was framed on in July last by the District Magistrate consists of Parlahd Bhagat Chief Education Officer; Zubair Ahmed, District Social Welfare Officer; Sala ud Din Cultural officer; Sadaket Malik secretary Pahari Core Committee Chenab valley and A M Bichoo of Scope Padder.
The Committee recommended for inclusion of Chenab dialects under Pahari which includes Bhaderwahi, Bhalesi, Padri, Sarazi, Pogli, Deshwali, Kishtwari, and all other dialects and forwarded the recommendations to the Divisional commissioner Jammu, JKCAAL and the UT administration for further action. The Committee also recommended the creation of a separate Sub office for District Kishtwar and Ramban and a regional office at Doda. The meeting ended at a unanimous note and recommendations were submitted to higher ups. |
