DC Udhampur holds public grievances redress camp at Block Majalta | Listens to issues of several delegations | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Aug 18: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib today visited block Majalta and listened to issues and demands of several delegations at a public outreach programme held at Kesar resort. Block Development Chairperson, Dina Nath, DDC member, Amit Sharma, District Officers of various departments and PRIs of concerned blocks also participated in the outreach camp. Sarpanches, Panches and the general public of the adjoining Panchayats projected several demands and problems. They demanded sanctioning of KV School at Majalta, construction of foot bridge over Nallah at Kakrai, provision of Panchayat Ghar at Channi Mansar, implementation of forest rights Act, augmentation of drinking water supply, construction of footpath, filling up of vacant posts in health and education departments, appointment of Gynaecologist at PHC Mansar, New building for High School Kakrai, Up-gradation of middle to high school at Shatrari, PMAY houses for remaining eligible households, construction of Dug well, repair of Padhlai to Neeli PMGSY road, release of pending MGNREGA liabilities, adequate staff in HSS Majalta, Provision of lane drain in Majalta bazar, organising awareness camps, construction of bridge over nallah at Majalta, construction of over head water tank at Majalta, implementation of JJM, Installation of electronic meters, inclusion of political science subject in GHSS, proper distribution of ration supply, construction of new degree college building, streamlining of public delivery system in govt offices, improvement in conditions of various PMGSY and PWD roads etc. The DC gave a patient hearing to the public demands and passed on-spot directions for redressal of their grievances at an earliest. She asked the officers to take first hand appraisal of all the grievances of PRIs and redress the same on priority. The DC assured the general public that more such public outreach camps would also be organized to solve the genuine problems of the people at their doorsteps. The DC directed all the officers of different departments to organize awareness camps in their respective areas to inform the general public about various govt schemes so that they can avail maximum benefits of these schemes. The DC also said that the aim of the public outreach drive is to bring the administration to the doorstep of rural areas. Later, the DC distributed lemon grass demonstration plants among the beneficiaries. |
