EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Aug 26: Former MLC and Chief Spokesperson J&K Pradesh Congress Ravinder Sharma has taken up the issues of students of GDC Sunderbani with the Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, Manoj Dhar and urged him to concede their issues and genuine demands .
Sharma spoke to the vice chancellor today regarding the demand of all the students of BA semester IVth of Government Degree College Sunderbani for review/rechecking of the examination of semester IVth.
Sharma referred to the representation of the agitating students of the GDC Sunderbani over the issue complaining that all the students were awarded almost equal marks based on the thumb rule of teachers, whereby they were awarded nine ,ten or eleven marks in the internal assessment held on line.
They questioned how it is possible that all students have faired equally or equal in performance that they were awarded almost equal marks out of twenty.
Based on internal assessment, the final result was declared on the proportional percentage as such they were put to disadvantage of marks and got less marks.
A group of students from GDC Sunderbani led by Sahil Khajuria, Ankit Sharma Harsh Sgarna, Neeraj Kumar and others met Sharma during his tour of the area and submitted a memorandum, copy of which has been forwarded to the vice chancellor by Sharma ,who also spoke to the Vice Chancellor today and asked him to examine the issue sympathetically and on merit and concede students" demand for rechecking /reevaluation. The Vice Chancellor assured Sharma to look into the matter for appropriate decision.
