Jammu, Sept 7: Toph Sherkhania of Ward No. 39 sans basic amenities such as roads, proper garbage collection system and drainage systems.
Roads and streets have been dug at various points and it has been since months the streets have not been repaired which have made it unfit for vehicular movement. “The streets were dug in the entire area for a lying drainage system but never repaired due to which huge potholes have developed in the area making it difficult for the residents to pass through them. Even drainage points have been left uncovered inviting accidents to happen,” said Raj Kumar, a local resident. “Heaps of garbage alongside streets remain unattended and it stinks continuously making it difficult for a person to pass through the stretch,” alleged Darshan Singh.
“Not only this, the water supply is also consistent.
Although the corporator had assured streets will be repaired and other problems will be solved but till date nothing has been done,” he said. |
