| 3 thieves arrested, stolen items recovered | | |

KATHUA, Sept 13: Kathua Police has solved another theft case by arresting 3 thieves and recovering stolen (Karyana) items from them.
According to reports, on August 29, 2021 a case was registered at PS Kathua in connection with theft vide FIR No. 396/2021 U/S 457/380 IPC. Acting on the same on September 3, 2021 police party of PS Kathua led by SHO PS Kathua Inspector Om Prakash Chib arrested three suspected thieves.
During sustained questioning all of the 3 accused confessed their involvement and on their disclosure following stolen items viz. Ghee 21kg, 13 Packets Almond (250gm each), 11 Packets Raisin (Sogi) 250 gm each, 14 Packets Cashew (250gm each), 15 Packets Capstan Cigarette along with 08 Packets of Pilot were recovered from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Sumit Singh S/o Sardar Singh R/o Ward No 7 Kathua, Vijay Kumar S/o Ashok Kumar S/o R/o Ward No 18 Kathua and Hitesh Gupta S/o Haqikat Rai R/o Ward No 4 District Kathua. |
