JAMMU, Sept 13: The NSS unit of GDC Bishnah organized “Run for Freedom” under the ageis of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav to commemorate the 75th Independence Day. The principal of the college, Dr. Anuradha Pandoh, flagged off the marathon which comprised of students and the staff.
The principal spoke about the necessity to maintain the hard won freedom and remember the sacrifices of freedom fighters.
The marathon started from the college premises for a historical Kundeshwar temple via Bishnah market and back.
On their way, the students raised slogans, Vande matram, Bharat mata ki jai, Jai jawan jai kissan and sung various patriotic songs. The programme concluded with distribution of refreshment among students. |
