Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Sept 13: After witnessing below normal temperature, weather again turned pleasant on Monday in the Kashmir valley with both maximum and minimum temperature near normal. A Met department spokesman said this evening that there could be isolated light rain and thunder showers in the Jammu and Kashmir divisions during the next 24 hours. However, the weather will remain dry during the subsequent two days, he added. Srinagar, where the minimum temperature was about two notches below normal yesterday, the day temperature on Monday was 29.1 degree, a notch above normal. The minimum temperature was 15 degree which was 1.9 degree above normal. The sky would be mainly clear and the maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 28 degree and 14 degree respectively in Srinagar during the next 24 hours. Gulmarg, major tourist attraction round the year, the maximum temperature was 19 degree, slightly below normal while the minimum temperature was 7.6 degree, 1.4 notches below normal. However, tourists, who had come from different plain area across the country, were seen wearing warm cloths, enjoying it. Pahalgam in south Kashmir recorded the 24 degree, slightly below normal. The minimum temperature was 9.6 degree, which was a notch above normal. Qazigund, gateway of Kashmir recorded 28 degree maximum and 12.2 degree minimum, Kupwara 30 degree maximum and 12.2 minimum temperature and Kokernag tourist resort recorded 26.7 degree maximum and 12.2 degree minimum temperature. |
