JDU appeals LG to pay attention towards plight of KPs | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 17: In a joint statement Janata Dal United (JDU) General Secretary Sanjay Dhar and Vivek Bali, State Secretary appealed to LG J&K to pay attention towards the plight of persecuted Kashmiri Hindus. Return and rehabilitation of KPs to the Kashmir valley is a sensitive issue which should be addressed on priority by the administration. Dhar appealed to j&k administration and central government to review the policy of return and rehabilitation of persecuted miniorities of Kashmiri Hindus. Authorities should appoint a nodal officer who should visit the Kashmiri migrants living in and outside camps to understand the ground reality and hardships of Kashmiri migrants. Administration should have a clear vision of return policy including a proper plan in terms of jobs, education, accommodation etc. The first batch of PM package employees have still not being provided accommodation and are paying huge rents. J&K administration should speed up construction of residential units for package employees who for the time being should be accommodated in vacant quarters of Darbar move employees. Dhar in his statement said prevailing issue of holding of relief benefits of all relief holders due to some technical reasons is a cause of worry among the KP relief holders. This issue should be resolved as soon as possible so that relief holders get some relief. Vivek Bali requested the LG to increase the relief amount to 25000 keeping in view the price hike of daily commodities. |
