Checking Govt employees' anecdotes will ensure accountability: Suri | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 17: The colossal exercise undertaken by the Jammu and Kashmir government to identify moles in the system and verify anecdotes of all employees is an exercise that will clear the muck and ensure accountability. This was stated by BJP J&K Executive Member Raman Suri, who added that well before the abrogation of Article 370, employees in the the erstwhile state had a free run wherein they worked for political parties, had their businesses, ran parallel offices, never followed Civil Services Rules (CSR), had no respect for administrative reforms, worked in isolation and made the commoners suffer because of corrupt practices. Now that the government had tightened its noose around them, the employees are being made accountable and work for the salaries they are being paid, the system is being overhauled, there is going to be a right kind of system of governance that was always missing in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. Raman Suri said, despite getting from government the best of everything, many black sheep owned their allegiance to their political masters but the things are going to see a drastic change now. The employees will be made to work with utmost dedication, honestly and not deal with files based on caste, creed, region or religion. He alleged that whenever all other political parties including Congress, NC and PDP came to power, they used employees as tools to paddle corruption and also used them to harass the common masses. He said that employees earlier didn't care for people but this is for the first time that BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre has put in place the most effective mechanism to streamline the three-tier system of governance in J&K. |
