"Sulabh Swachhta Diwas" campaign organized on PM Modi's birthday | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 17: On the occasion of the prime minister's 71st birthday, Sulabh International Social Service Organization ran a nationwide "Sulabh Swachhta Diwas" campaign at 71 locations focusing on issues which included Cleanliness and "say no to single use plastic" drive. Sulabh volunteers on Friday launched cleaning operation at Main Market Trikuta Nagar and distributed 71 cotton bags. Purnima Sharma Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation was the chief guest. The local councillor Jyoti Devi was the guest of honour. Both of them appreciated the activities done by Sulabh International Social Service Organization on the occasion of 71st birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A large number of JMC staff and local people also participated in the function. Sulabh International, a Sanitation pioneer in the country, celebrates birthday of Prime Minister every year with an aim to create awareness among masses towards cleanliness. Founded by acclaimed Social Reformer, Dr Bindeshwar Pathak, Sulabh Volunteers are tirelessly working to provide sanitation facilities besides restoring human dignity in India. During the programme volunteers also tried to highlight issues like "No to Single use of plastic." |
