VIJAYPUR, Sept 17: Panthers Party general secretary and former minister Yashpal Kundal has demanded government holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh, who merged Jammu and Kashmir with India. He lamented that this demand of the people of Jammu is very old but only politics is being done on this demand.
Addressing a press conference, Kundal said that when the BJP was in opposition it used to demand a government holiday on the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh, but after forming the government with the PDP, the party forgot about it. He said the Lieutenant Governor should declare a government holiday on the birthday of the Maharaja. |
