Vision Kashmir concerned over delay in cash assistance to relief holders | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 18: Meeting of Vision Kashmir was held today wherein the members deliberated upon the vital issue of delay in receiving cash assistance by over aged relief holders. Convener of the organization Sunil Fotedar while addressing the meeting termed the attachment of major account head of relief organization by honorable court as unfortunate and applauded the efforts of Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner A K Pandita for getting the account DE attached from the Court. He said the despite the vigorous efforts of RC AK Pandita, administration is watching this trauma of helpless relief holders from a distance. Where do the helpless over aged persons stand under Article 21 of constitution which defines right to live. Fotedar requested the Court to provide solace to the oozing wounds and scars of over aged relief holders who are completely dependent on cash assistance for their basic amenities for survival and sustenance, delay in cash assistance has resulted in no medicines, no essentials, no LPG and much more. He urged the Court to give sympathetic consideration towards over aged relief holders of the displaced community as a matter of fact due to financial instability they cannot keep the lamps of their survival burning. The other members who were present in the meeting included Sanjay Chowgami, Ramesh Sopori, Sanjay Zutshi, Raja Ji Kakroo, Ashok Koul, Sanjay Jalali and others. |
