| Lakhanpur Police foils bovine smuggling bid | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Sept 18: In continuation to drive launched under the directions of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal -JKPS, to curb bovine smuggling, Lakhanpur Police foiled bovine smuggling bid and rescued 12 bovines.
As per police officials, acting on tip off, a team of Police Station Lakhanpur led by Inspector Sumeet Sharma SHO Police Station Lakhanpur noticing one suspicious truck bearing registration number JK08-B-3771 signaled to stop for checking. Sensing danger driver of the said vehicle however managed to flee away from the spot. On physical checking of the vehicle Police team found one dozen bovines loaded in it illegally. Thereafter Police team rescued the bovines and seized the vehicle involved.
In this regard a case under FIR No. 98/2021 U/S 188/IPC, 11PCA stands registered at Police Station Lakhanpur and further investigation has been set into motion accordingly. |
