RAMBAN, Sept 18: Senior BJP leader and former Member Legislative Assembly Neelam Langeh on Saturday asserted that the party firmly believes in Shloka of Bhagwad Gita-service is the highest religion and that is the reason behind every activist of the party rendering selfless service to the people.
In a handout issued today, the former MLA said that several programmes are being held under 14-day 'Seva aur Samarpan Abhiyan' as part of PM Narendra Modi's 71st birthday celebrations. He said that October 7 this year will also mark Narendra Modi's 20 years in public life since he became Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2001 therefore party is holding a fortnight-long special campaign.
The BJP leader asked the workers to make use of this occasion to dispense information among masses about the achievements of the party in the last over seven years and also develop connect with the people by resolving their local issues on priority. He said rendering selfless to public is BJP's first and foremost motive and therefore every activist should take privilege in helping people to come out of problems and resolving their matters by assisting them and also using links with the officials as every BJP leader, activist or a ground level worker should act as bridge between government and the people.
Former MLA also shared the outline of the number of programmes and events scheduled for the fortnight long Sewa Aur Samarpan Campaign. He said that PM Modi has changed the course of the country by giving development the first preference and placing everything else on back burner. He said that presence of a BJP activist in the area should mean mitigation of problems of all the people.
Langeh said that this should be the goal of party to make it more popular among masses as other parties' motive is only to befool people by one way or the other.
