BJP holds protest, burns Pak PM's effigy over killing of cop | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 18: Youth Wing of Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today held a protest and burned effigy of Imran Khan to send a strong message to Pakistan to stop aiding and supporting the terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, the protesters, in the shape of a rally, paid tributes to J&K Police constable, Bantu Sharma, who was trapped unarmed and killed by the militants near Shamford School at Wanpoh in district Kulgam of Kashmir. They (protesters) while paying tributes Bantu Sharma prayed to the Almighty God for eternal peace to the brave solider, who has sacrificed his life for the integrity and security of the Nation. Led by Rajat Singh Manhas, the agitating youth raised slogans against Pakistan and its Prime Minister, Imran Khan for inciting the otherwise peaceful people of Kashmir and supporting the militancy. "Militants have no religion and they are killing those young brave men who are fighting the enemy for the security and integrity of the Nation. The killing of Bantu Sharma, who along with his family dared not to leave the home in Kulgam, was a planned act to terrorise the minorities, but our forces are strong enough to teach the Pakistan sponsored terrorists a lesson. Today's protest was aimed at showing solidarity and support with the family of Bantu Sharma," said Rajat Singh Manhas . Among those prominent present in the protest were Sudesh Singh Manhas, Happy Singh Jamwal, Shubham Singh, Aman Singh, Jaipal Mehta, Surinder Singh and Honey Manhas. |
