Others who shared the ideas included Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister, Arun Gupta, President Industries & Commerce, Rattan Lal Gupta Advocate (ex-MLC), Amar Chand Gupta (Patron), Shiv Pratap Gupta, Om Parkash Gupta (Kaku Shah), Harinder Gupta (Senior Vice Presidents), Dr Mohan Lal Gupta and Yash Pal Gupta (Supdtt), Sanjay Mahajan General Secretary anchored the programme very meticulously. A patriotic poem befitting the occasion was recited by CP Gupta which was highly appreciated by the audience.
The President in his welcome address said that all the members of the new working committee are the cream of the Mahajan Community and hoped that they would contribute their best to improve the working of the Sabha.
Gupta further pointed out that "The New Land Laws" brought by the Government are discriminatory while there is no such restriction on Mahajans, Khatris and Sikhs living in any other state or UT.
He said that in this connection attempts were made by the Mahajan Sabha and knocked the doors of the Administration to get the injustice nullified but so far failed to get justice. On this issue of discrimination, all the members of the Working Committee, were on their heels and decided to come on the roads to stage a strong demonstration till discriminatory law is withdrawn by the government.
Among other agenda items, it was decided to celebrate birth Anniversary of Lala Hans Raj Mahajan and Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan as usual.
