Reasi police recovers more than two kilograms of Ganja | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 19: Continuing its fight against drug peddling district police Reasi recovered 2.75 kilograms of Ganja and arrested two women involved in drug peddling. During surprise naka checking at Police check Post Nomain, two ladies were found moving in suspicious circumstances and they were asked to stop by police party on duty. The accused Rekha Devi W/ Subash Chander R/O Railway Road, Kun-Daroorian Katra and Maya Mir W/o Anwar Mir R/O Railway road Katra who were walking from Domail towards Katra were stopped and checked. Both the ladies were carrying black coloured bags with them. During checking police party recovered 850 gms Ganja like substance from one bag and 1.9 kilogram from other bag. In this regard a case FIR no 205/2021 US 8/20 NDPS act stand registered at Police Station katra and the investigations set in to unearth forward and backward linkages in this effort of drug peddling. Reasi Police has registered 120 Case FIRs of drug abuse against 156 offenders since March this year. |
