Modi govt schemes changed lifestyle of women: Sat | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 20: A deputation of women belonging to needy families hailing from Ward No 41 met former minister and ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) and asked him to intervene in some matters. The deputation was led by BJP leader and Councillor Sanjay Baru. Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that women are the maximum beneficiaries of the schemes launched by the Modi Government and it has helped in changing the lifestyle of women power across the country. He said the deputation has apprised him of some problems being faced by them including release of some pensions, ration under PMGKAY (Pradhan Mantri Gareeb Kalyan Ann Yojana) and some other things including their pending bills of electricity. He said the concerned authorities have been notified to look into their grievances and the pending pension cases and problems related to the pending electricity bills will be solved in coming days. Sanjay Baru said that a fruitful discussion was held with the former MLA who on spot called the concerned officials and forwarded the grievances of the women to them. He said under his leadership, Jammu West excelled a lot in terms of development and particularly the needy and poor women across Jammu West were provided with the benefits of the Central sponsored schemes which gave a major boost to thousands of women across the Constituency. Rajesh Gupta, Jaideep Sambyal, Ravi Kant Sharma, Jarnail Singh Khokhar, Bubesh Sharma and others were also present on the occasion. |
